Welcome to our little bit of cyberspace. This site has
information about our band, how we came to be and our aspirations
to continue to have fun whilst indulging our passion for brass
music.
We
love to play our music and to date the SCMS has performed
concerts to groups including rest homes, The Orphans Club,
workplace Christmas events, Riverton Christmas Parade, the Edendale Crank Up Day and most recently the Alexandra Blossom
Festival. We have also had the opportunity to play alongside
Southland pipe bands in the legendary
Pipin’ Hot!
show.
Our
plan is to continue to share our passion for playing music to
interested and appreciative audiences.
